Building a sustainable tomorrow BAM UK & Ireland's Infrastructure segment is seeking a Planning Administrator. With a foundational understanding of construction programme planning and good experience in Enterprise Primavera P6 —the role focuses on validating programme inputs, maintaining version control, and producing essential planning reports and dashboards. Working closely with planners and wider teams, the Planning Administrator ensures data accuracy, supports governance and audit requirements, and assists with continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning processes, procedures and reporting efficiency. The role also contributes to planning community activities, helping organise events / trainings, distribute materials, and maintain consistent communication across the planning function. Making Possible Planning Administrator responsibilities include: Ensure the system is set up correctly, runs efficiently, and provides reliable data for project teams Play a key part in supporting the smooth running of planning systems and enabling informed decision-making The role will not replace planner responsibility for programme development or contractual submissions Maintain and update the programme databases in Loadspring acting as primary owner and managing the programme register in alignment with planning procedures Manage permissions for access to the P6 database Attend meetings with software and systems providers to monitor systems upgrades to avoid disruption and to escalate ongoing issues Clean and coordinate programme uploads into database from users to ensure completeness and correct formatting before they enter the master database. Ensure programme data quality, identifying inconsistencies, ensuring proper naming conventions, and maintaining consistency across all projects within frameworks. Produce planning reports and dashboards, including look‑aheads, summaries, KPI reports and support with structured data feeds for Power BI. Support programme audits and governance, ensuring all programmes in the database comply with planning procedures and contract requirements. Act as a central coordination point for planning department, programme queries, database access, version control, and guiding stakeholders to accurate programme information. Support continuous improvement by identifying data issues and contributing to templates, automation enhancements, best‑practice documents, and training support. Coordinate planning community events, managing logistics, content preparation, communication, and feedback for meetings, workshops, training sessions and on/off boarding. Monthly planners’ / Fortnightly Lead planners meetings, Lunch‑and‑learn sessions, Best‑practice or lessons‑learned workshops, System or tool training sessions, coordinate logistics such as venue/room bookings, Teams invites, attendee lists, and materials distribution/follow-ups. Collect feedback from attendees and help identify future topics for competency building. Support the Sector Planning Manager in maintaining an active, informed planning community and delivering broader administrative support. What do you bring to the role? Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Planning Engineer. Must have at least 3+ years P6 experience with strong data mindset Relevant experience in the successful scheduling of engineering projects. Strong communications skills, able to explain planning and scheduling matters to non-planning personnel Experience in running and maintaining a Primavera P6 database and be able to coach others in operating the database Preferred Experience: Competent in the use of various planning software including P6 and MS Project Experience within a collaborative, multidisciplinary work environment Experience in automating P6 to excel reporting workflows Experience in presenting planning data in PowerBi Experience in producing detailed reports using the P6 report wizard Experience in organising engaging forums, seminars and workshops What’s in it for you?
