Role Overview
We are seeking a strong communicator with a drive to develop their leadership skills to fulfil the Planning Team Leader role. They will be capable of mentoring and developing the planning team to achieve departmental objectives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
As a key liaison between all departments in the operation team, and the wider business, this role ensures that workloads are effectively allocated, priorities are clear, and production challenges are swiftly addressed. By leveraging the ERP system, the role ensures accurate planning data management and timely resolution of production issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop the planning team to assist in achieving departmental goals and objectives.
- Work with the Planning and Logistics Manager to develop, maintain and manage production schedules, that consider various constraints to ensure execution of tasks is completed on time and in full.
- Utilise the ERP system to manage planning data and ensure production issues are fed back and actioned.
- Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement of processes to further advance efficiencies within the planning team.
- Work with the Operations Manager to allocate workloads and set priorities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Chair meetings with the manufacturing teams to understand any issues that may arise while executing the plan. Work collaboratively with the wider business to assist in reducing downtime and resolving these issues.
- Manage documentation to ensure the wider business has a clear understanding of our current and future position.
- Take responsibility for monitoring and managing the production schedule for all track test products.
- Mentor and support the planning team to manage the production schedule for laboratory test systems.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in planning or manufacturing operations.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and planning tools.
- Proven ability to work within cross-functional teams, and take the lead when required.
