Collins Earthworks Ltd. is seeking a meticulous and organised Plant Assistant to join our team. This role is essential for driving the operational efficiency of our plant department, serving as a core coordinator for machinery tracking, system administration, and stakeholder communication. You will step into a collaborative team environment where your logistics skills will directly support our ongoing site operations.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the accuracy of the company Plant Book.
- Input and update data across internal operational tracking systems.
- Utilise Excel to create, update, and manage plant spreadsheets and reports.
- Act as a primary liaison point, regularly speaking to suppliers and customers to coordinate requirements.
- Oversee daily plant logistics to ensure heavy machinery and equipment are tracked and deployed efficiently.

Requirements:
- Strong competency in Microsoft Excel and numerical data handling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for handling supplier and customer relations.
- Highly organised with a structured approach to record-keeping and data entry.
- Ability to problem-solve logistics schedules in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- Proven previous experience in planning or scheduling roles (required)
- Prior construction industry experience (preferred but not essential)
Licence/Certification:
- Clean Full UK Driving Licence (Preferred)
Job Types:

- Occasional Weekend Availability
