Plant Competence Coordinator (Sizewell C)Civil Works Alliance (CWA)Sizewell C Job Responsibilities • Support the Senior Works Manager and team in competence records and compliance. • Ensure compliance with H&S legislation, procedures and contract requirements at all times.• Provide HSW Support to the delivery teams in the review of project documentation.• Attend and support prestart planning meetings where required.• Undertake HSW safety engagement tours and formal inspections in line with project requirements.• Attend client meetings and working groups on behalf of the CWA as and when required.• Identify opportunities to change the way activities are undertaken to improve H&S performance.• Analyse data for trends and produce reports and recommendations as required.• Support the delivery team to investigate Plant adverse events and trends.• Deliver training and advisory sessions to personnel and contractors as required.• Champion behavioural safety and the building of a positive safety culture• Promote the use of technology and business systems across the project.• Be able to plan and monitor performance on SMART Objectives• Provide coaching and mentoring to the wider project team in health, Safety and Wellbeing Qualifications Essential • National Diploma or equivalent L6 qualification (or working toward)• Driving Licence• SMSTS Desirable • Incident investigation• CertIOSH • CSCS card• Site Environmental Awareness Training (SEATS) or similar• 3 day First Aid At Work (or above)• Fire marshal Experience Essential • Strong understanding of various plant machines and plant management. • Strong understanding of UK H&S Regulatory Framework.• Experience of managing health, safety and wellbeing on complex construction and civils projects.• Ability to engage and converse at all levels.• Competence in incident & accident investigation.• Use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.• Ability to influence others and promote a positive safety culture.• Ability to produce formal reports and documents.• Understanding of the principles behind behaviour management. Desirable • Use of Microsoft Vision, PowerApps and PowerBi• Mentoring and coaching skills• Experience in one or more of the following- Nuclear Sector- Tunneling activities- Heavy Plant operations- Lifting operations- Coastal/Marine works- Temporary works- Excavations
