At ENGIE

We believe the energy transition starts with people who are ready to make a real difference. Our anaerobic digestion plants turn organic waste into renewable energy, and we need skilled operators to keep them running at their best.

As a Plant Operator

You will play a hands-on role in delivering clean energy safely and efficiently. You will work closely with the Plant Manager and maintenance team to ensure continuous, optimal plant performance. This is a role where your technical skills directly contribute to a more sustainable future.

Summary Of What You Will Do

  • Support the daily operation of the anaerobic digestion plant, including feeding, monitoring, and routine checks.
  • Operate telehandlers to manage feedstock deliveries, storage, and loading into the digestion plant.
  • Perform fault finding, troubleshooting, and minor maintenance on pumps, motors, and other equipment.
  • Monitor IT control systems on-site and remotely, responding to alerts as part of a rota-based on-call system.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, ENGIE One Safety policies, and permit-to-work procedures.
  • Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly plant checks, recording data accurately in line with company protocols.
  • Maintain excellent site housekeeping, including stores management and general upkeep of landscaped areas.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
