Are you an experienced Plant Supervisor looking for your next challenge? We’re seeking a proactive, safety-focused professional to oversee day-to-day operations at our Ashbourne plant, ensuring efficient production of high-quality concrete and mortar while maintaining exceptional safety and environmental standards.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced operation where no two days are the same.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Liaise with the Order Office, plant staff, and customers to ensure production aligns with customer requirements
  • Manage the efficient operation of the batching plant and Full Elevating Loaders (FEL)
  • Accurately batch concrete/mortar in compliance with company procedures
  • Optimise plant output, quality, and service standards
  • Monitor and enhance plant utilisation through continuous work method improvements

Maintenance & Site Standards

  • Conduct routine plant inspections and maintenance checks
  • Report, track, and record defects, issues, or hazards
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness across plant, buildings, and equipment
  • Ensure consistent site presentation meets company standards

Stock & Materials Management

  • Ensure sufficient approved materials are available for production
  • Perform regular stock inspections and weekly visual stock checks
  • Verify monthly stock levels with senior management

Health, Safety & Environment

  • Enforce site safety procedures for employees, contractors, and visitors
  • Comply with Health and Safety at Work legislation and company policies
  • Manage waste disposal, dust emissions, and water discharge per environmental procedures
  • Foster a strong safety-first culture across the site

Compliance & Quality

  • Adhere to company procedures for quality control, fraud prevention, and operational compliance
  • Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Attend mandatory training and maintain up-to-date knowledge

Person Specification

We’re looking for candidates with:

  • Previous experience in plant, production, quarry, concrete, or manufacturing environments
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A hands-on, proactive approach and the ability to work independently
  • Experience leading by example in operational settings
  • Batching plant/Full Elevating Loader (FEL) experience (highly advantageous)
  • Maintenance/technical aptitude (beneficial)
