Mears are excited to announce an existing contract expansion, with our long-time client Cross Keys Homes. We have worked with Cross Keys Homes for 18 years and have just signed off for a further 10 years. Previously the Kitchen installations have been sub-contracted out and now we are bringing it all in house!

As part of our Kitchen Installation team, you'll play a key role in transforming peoples' homes, delivering high-quality kitchen refurbishments that make a real difference to residents. You'll work alongside a supportive and experienced team that takes pride in delivering excellent workmanship, maintaining high standards, and providing outstanding customer service.
From the removal of existing kitchens through to the installation of new, modern spaces, you'll see the impact of your work firsthand.

About the Role
As a Plasterer you will provide support to the kitchen installation team on our extended contract with Cross Key Homes, the role involves carrying out high-quality plastering repairs and maintenance.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing surfaces
- Applying plaster finishes to walls and ceilings
- Undertaking patch repairs following maintenance works
- Ensuring all work is completed to a professional standard

You will be expected to work efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service, respecting residents' homes, and adhering to health and safety regulations.
The role requires the ability to identify defects, deliver durable repairs, and contribute to the overall upkeep and improvement of Cross Keys Homes’ housing stock, helping to provide safe, comfortable, and well-maintained homes for residents.
Role Responsibilities
- Carry out plastering repairs and maintenance in properties.
- Prepare walls, ceilings, and other surfaces prior to plastering, including removing damaged materials and making good defects.
- Apply a range of plastering finishes to achieve a high-quality standard.
- Undertake patch repairs following plumbing, electrical, and general building works.
- Repair and renew ceilings, walls, render, and dry-lining systems as required.
- Ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales and to company quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy working environment at all times.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with tenants, residents, and colleagues.
- Accurately record completed works and report any additional repairs identified.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Use materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support the delivery of excellent customer service and contribute to achieving contract performance targets.
- Work collaboratively with other trades to ensure repairs are completed effectively and with minimal disruption to residents.
Role Criteria
- Core trade in Plastering
- Experience in Building Maintenance
- UK Full driving license
- Customer Focused
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in other trade backgrounds would be advantageous
