Plasterer

Plasterer – Responsive Repairs Team (Yorkshire & Humber)

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Plasterer to join our Responsive Repairs team. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out plastering repairs, ensuring high standards and timely completion.

Your expertise will be vital in optimizing efficiency by completing tasks in a single visit wherever possible. This role covers the Yorkshire and Humber region, including areas such as Wakefield, Leeds, York, Bradford, and Dewsbury.

  • Carry out all types of plastering repairs to tenanted properties, working from job tickets, Opti-Time appointment slots, specifications and contract drawings to meet high standards (Building Regulations, etc.).
  • Adhere to a "Right First Time" philosophy, ensuring repairs are completed to a satisfactory level in a single visit.
  • Maintain accurate records (preferable electronic) and handle measurement and procurement of materials.
  • Demonstrate strong customer care, including:
    • Protecting tenants’ furniture and belongings with dustsheets.
    • Ensuring cleanliness after work.
    • Providing polite, friendly, and professional interactions.
  • Conduct appropriate risk assessments to promote health and safety for workers, tenants, colleagues, and the public.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Must hold a full manual UK driving licence.
  • City & Guilds Advanced Craft Certificate in plastering (or equivalent NVQ Level 2+) is desirable.
  • Professional experience in:
    • Skilled plastering techniques and related construction disciplines.
    • Repair work with a commitment to productiveness and quality.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills to complete job tickets, time sheets, and related documentation.
  • Working knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly for vulnerable tenant populations.
