Plater Welder
Time Served Plater Welder Required (Permanent Basis)
About the Role
Gillian & Baines Limited are seeking a time served plater welder for a permanent role in our engineering fabrication team in Knottingley, West Yorkshire (WF11 8BN).
Key Responsibilities
- fabrication and welding of stainless steel and carbon steel to high standards
- experience with MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes
- working on light to heavy fabrication projects with wall thicknesses ranging from 2mm to 30mm
- reading and interpreting engineering drawings accurately
- maintaining attention to detail in all welding and fabrication work
- adhering to health & safety (H&S) guidelines
- performing duties independently and as part of a team

Requirements & Experience
- apprentice-trained plater welder (preferred, but not mandatory)
- fully skilled in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding to coded standards
- ability to fabricate various materials, including stainless and carbon steel
- experience working with wall thicknesses between 2mm and 30mm
- ability to read and follow engineering drawings
- strong H&S awareness
- full UK driving licence (mandatory)
- willingness to work overtime if required
- availability to travel nationwide, including occasional nights away
