Platform Engineer
Location: London (Hybrid – 1 day/week in office)
Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Tech Stack: AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform, Ansible, Python, Docker, Jenkins, GitLab, Networking, AI Engineering Tools

Immersum is partnering with a leading financial technology organisation to hire a Platform Engineer. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative Platform Engineering Team, working with modern DevOps tooling, AWS, Kubernetes, and AI-powered engineering workflows to build resilient, highly available infrastructure.
The Role:
- Build and manage secure, scalable AWS infrastructure
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab
- Deploy and manage containerised workloads with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS)
- Improve platform monitoring, automation, security, and reliability
- Work closely with Application Engineering teams to deliver cloud-native solutions
- Use AI engineering tools, including agentic development workflows, as part of day-to-day engineering
- Support cloud migrations and continuous platform improvements

What We’re Looking For:
- Experience building and operating AWS infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and containerised environments
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab
- Good understanding of AWS networking, IAM, and cloud security
- Python or scripting experience for automation
- Strong Linux administration skills
- Interest in AI engineering tools and modern software delivery practices
- Experience within financial services or another regulated environment is a bonus
