Role: Platform Engineer
Locations: Glasgow/Edinburgh (must be willing to travel to client sites throughout the UK on an ad hoc basis)
Salary: Competitive salary and package (depending on level of experience)
Note: Any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory BPSS and SC security clearance, which requires 5 years’ continuous UK address history at the point of application.

About the Team
Accenture S&PE Engineering is over 1,000 people strong and provides end-to-end product engineering solutions which deliver tangible value, fast. We bring together an obsession for technical excellence with agility and scale, to help clients move from project to product at speed.
We work with clients in every sector, from scale-ups through to national and international blue-chip names and public sector organisations. Our teams routinely work on products that are used by millions of people.
As part of our S&PE Engineering team, you’ll be working with cutting-edge technologies and will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of new skills on the job.

In our team you will:
- Work hand-in-hand with our clients to build great digital products for them and for their customers.
- Need experienced, capable engineers who can both deploy their own mastery to get things done hands-on and successfully lead others in doing so.
- Experience lots of opportunities to work on new domains and new stacks.
- Apply great engineering to get great outcomes.
- Be a key advocate for thoughtful solutions that get the job done efficiently and with low complexity.
- Be essential contributors to our internal and regional engineering communities.
- Have scope to get involved and help shape conversations around tech you’re interested in, share your knowledge and experience, and learn from colleagues working in very diverse problem spaces.

AI
- Expected to responsibly adopt AI-assisted engineering practices—such as GitHub Copilot, GitLab Duo, and similar tools—for code generation, testing, documentation, and analysis.
- Understand model limitations, protect client data, and improve delivery quality and speed through pragmatic automation.
SRE & Observability
- Bring a reliability mindset to delivery, designing services that are operable by default and measured through meaningful SLIs/SLOs.
- Help teams implement pragmatic observability—logging, metrics, and distributed tracing—with actionable alerting.
- Contribute to (or lead) incident response and post-incident reviews that drive learning and measurable improvements.
Job Qualifications
We are looking for experience in the following skills:
- Strong experience with the AWS cloud platform and core services.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (build, deployment, and operational support in production).
- Proven use of Infrastructure as Code, ideally with AWS CDK.
- Working knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) within Agile/DevOps teams.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps best practices.
