Platform Engineer – GCP / Kubernetes
📍 Hybrid | Stockport (2 days a week onsite)
💰 £60,000 - £70,000 + £10k additional Bonus
A product-led tech business whose platform helps millions of people find safe, affordable homes is looking for a Platform Engineer to join the tech team.
This is the ideal role for a Platform Engineer that likes to work with the latest and greatest, likes varied ranging work, and wants to experiment with new technologies.
They are an engineering-first organisation where you'll help shape a modern cloud-native platform used by millions of people. You'll work with Kubernetes, Terraform and GCP to build scalable infrastructure, improve developer tooling and continue evolving the platform as the business grows.

What you’ll be doing
- Design, build and maintain scalable cloud-native infrastructure on GCP
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Improve automation, deployment pipelines and operational efficiency
- Build self-service platform tooling that empowers development teams
- Work closely with Software Engineers to deliver reliable platform solutions
- Improve platform security, monitoring and reliability
- Help define engineering standards, tooling and best practices
- Participate in a paid on-call rota supporting platform availability
