Platform Engineer II

Platform Engineer II – Entain

About the Role

There’s nothing like a career at Entain—a leading, global sports betting and gaming company delivering entertainment-driven experiences through cutting-edge technology, with best-in-class player protection as a core pillar.

As a FTSE-listed global brand with 28,000 passionate employees across five continents, we own iconic brands like Ladbrokes, Coral, BetMGM, Eurobet, and bwin. With a game-changing environment and your ability to drive impact, you’ll thrive professionally while contributing to millions of unmatched player experiences daily.

This isn’t just a job—it’s a career catalyst for engineers, marketers, and leaders who want to grow alongside a business at the forefront of AI-driven, scalable technology and competition.

The Position: Platform Engineer II

As a Platform Engineer II, you will lead the design, automation, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and efficient infrastructure systems underpinning Entain’s products and services. Your mission? To construct a platform that’s not just robust and reliable, but prepared for rapid demand expansion—at the scale of a global market leader.

You’ll report to a Tech Lead and operate as part of the Platform Engineering Team, responsible for building and sustaining the core infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and an Internal Developer Platform (IDP). Your work ensures development teams can self-manage their environments, services, and deployments—driving rapid, high-quality software delivery without compromising stability or security.

In an AI-first world, you’ll pioneer agentic AI workflows to accelerate innovation for product and technology colleagues.

What You Will Do

  • Design a self-service Internal Developer Platform (IDP) providing:
    • On-demand provisioning of environments
    • Seamless service deployment workflows
    • Infrastructure management automation

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
