Platform Engineer | AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes | Hybrid (Liverpool)
We're looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to help shape and scale a modern hybrid infrastructure supporting a fast-paced, technology-driven business.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about Infrastructure as Code, automation, observability, reliability engineering, and DevOps culture. You'll play a key role in designing, automating, and optimising cloud and on-premises platforms while enabling engineering teams to deliver software quickly, securely, and reliably.
Responsibilities:
- Building and managing infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments using Infrastructure as Code
- Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines that support rapid, reliable software delivery
- Implementing observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident management solutions
- Driving automation across infrastructure, deployments, security, and operational processes
- Enhancing platform reliability through SRE practices, disaster recovery planning, and performance optimisation
- Collaborating closely with development, data, and technology teams to improve platform capabilities and developer experience
- Supporting security initiatives through DevSecOps practices, vulnerability management, and compliance controls
- Leveraging modern tooling, including AI-driven operational insights and automation, to improve efficiency and resilience

Requirements:

- Strong experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering
- Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms, containerisation, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code
- Proficiency in Python and Linux administration, with strong automation skills
- Experience implementing monitoring, logging, observability, and incident management solutions
- Solid understanding of networking, security, cloud architecture, and reliability engineering principles
- Proven ability to deliver scalable, resilient infrastructure solutions in a production environment
