A leading global technology and consulting organisation is hiring Platform Engineers to join a major Software & Platform Engineering team in Scotland. You'll work across modern cloud platforms, DevOps tooling, Kubernetes, and production-grade infrastructure.

About the Role

This is a hands-on Platform Engineering role for someone passionate about:

  • Building reliable cloud platforms
  • Improving automation
  • Supporting production environments
  • Collaborating closely with agile delivery teams

You’ll join a diverse engineering community exceeding 1,000+ professionals, delivering digital products and platforms for clients across scale-ups, blue-chip organisations, and public sector environments.

Responsibilities

  • Building and supporting cloud platforms using AWS
  • Working with Kubernetes across build, deployment, and production operations
  • Provisioning and managing infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code
  • Building and improving CI/CD pipelines & automation
  • Supporting Agile/DevOps teams using Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
  • Applying SRE principles including:
    • Reliability
    • SLIs/SLOs
    • Logging
    • Metrics
    • Distributed tracing
  • Supporting incident response and post-incident improvements
  • Using AI-assisted engineering tools (like GitHub Copilot or GitLab Duo) responsibly to enhance delivery quality and speed

Requirements

  • Strong AWS cloud platform experience
  • Hands-on production Kubernetes experience
  • Infrastructure as Code proficiency (ideally with AWS CDK & Terraform)
  • CI/CD & DevOps best practice experience
  • Reliability-focused mindset for observability, incident response, and production support
  • Strong communication skills with comfort in client-facing agile environments

Important Note: This role is not a generic DevOps support role—ideal for a hands-on Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Engineer with:

✅ Real production platform experience ✅ Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) capability ✅ A genuine reliability mindset & DevOps ethos
