To quote the hiring manager: "you'll have real ownership over what you build here."

You're joining a top hedge fund as a Platform Engineer, building and running the Kubernetes platform that quants and engineers rely on every day.

This team sits right at the centre of how the fund is scaling with AI. You'll become an AI expert within the group.

  • You'll also build the self-service platforms that let dev teams make changes fast at the platform layer, without waiting on you.
  • Infrastructure is the product, internal Engineering and Quant teams are the customers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This isn't about patching things together or firefighting. You'll be designing, automating, and scaling production systems that actually matter, in an engineering-led, high-performance environment.

  • Everything runs on-prem, so you'll be working close to the infrastructure and systems layer - building developer tooling, removing manual processes, and keeping things reliable and fast.
  • The culture is flat, focused on getting things done, and there's no red tape slowing you down.

You'll need:

  • Solid experience with Kubernetes (ideally OpenShift), Linux, and production systems
  • Strong Python or Go skills to automate and build tooling
  • You've built serious production systems before and you're genuinely hands-on with infrastructure
