Platform Engineer - AdTech (Junior SRE Level)

Oliver Bernard are currently working with an AdTech client seeking a detail-oriented Junior Site Reliability Engineer eager for autonomy and growth within a scaling business. This role involves collaboration with SREs and developers to foster DevEx while delivering clean infrastructure and driving best practices.

Core Responsibilities

  • Work in a cross-functional team, teammates will include other SREs and Developers
  • Develop clean code daily and uphold the best standards across the SRE/Platform estate
  • Facilitate growth with a scaling business, aiming for technical ownership

Technical Requirements

To apply, candidates must evidence the following:

  • Prior cloud experience with AWS (Azure or GCP also accepted)
  • Strong history working in Linux-driven environments
  • Experience with containerisation (Docker)
  • CI/CD expertise, having worked with Jenkins and / or GitHub Actions
  • Clear history of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
  • Able to contribute practically to Monitoring & Observability, ideally with New Relic
  • Comfortable and experienced with Bash scripting

Role Offer & Working Policy

  • Salary: £45–55K
  • Experience: 2–3 years in relevant engineering fields
  • Work arrangement: Flexible hybrid model
    • 1–2 days per week or bi-weekly (per context) for in-client attendance
