About the Role

At Aston Martin, innovation extends far beyond the cars we create. As our business continues its digital transformation journey, technology is playing an increasingly important role in enabling growth, efficiency and future success. From cloud platforms and enterprise applications to AI-driven solutions and modern infrastructure, we are building an IT environment designed for the future.

This is an opportunity to join that journey as a Platform Engineering Lead, helping shape the technology foundations that support one of the world's most iconic luxury automotive brands. The role offers the chance to influence strategy, lead a highly skilled Platform Engineering team and play a key role in modernising our technology landscape.

Whether your background is in infrastructure leadership, cloud operations, platform engineering or technical architecture, this role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the business while helping to define how platform services evolve in the years ahead.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Head of IT Operations and technology teams across the organisation, you'll help create secure, resilient and scalable platforms that support both day-to-day operations and future innovation.
  • The role combines technical leadership with strategic influence, giving you the opportunity to contribute to long-term roadmaps while remaining connected to the technologies that power the business.
  • From driving cloud adoption and infrastructure modernisation to improving operational performance and introducing new ways of working, you'll be encouraged to challenge convention, bring fresh ideas and help shape the future direction of Platform Engineering at Aston Martin.
  • You'll also have the opportunity to support and develop a talented team of engineers, fostering an environment where collaboration, continuous learning and knowledge sharing are valued and encouraged.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Platform Engineering team is responsible for the core infrastructure services that enable the business to operate effectively. This includes managing on-premise and cloud environments, Windows server platforms, identity services, virtualisation technologies and multi-cloud infrastructure spanning Azure, AWS and Alibaba Cloud.

Qualifications

  • We're keen to hear from people who enjoy solving complex technical challenges, building strong relationships and leading positive change.
  • Experience across cloud technologies, enterprise infrastructure and platform operations will be important, alongside a collaborative approach and a passion for creating high-performing services and teams.
  • Equally important is a growth mindset. No individual will bring every skill or experience listed in a job description, and we recognise that talented people develop their expertise through different career paths. If this opportunity excites you and your experience aligns with much of what we're looking for, we'd encourage an application.
