About the Role

  • Lead ongoing support, optimisation and scaling of a large-scale K8s environment running over 400 Pods and up to 140,000 Nodes at any given time.
  • Spearhead growth for teams, acting in a leadership and management capacity.
  • Work with cutting-edge technologies day-to-day, including cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), Kubernetes (Helm, Kops, Istio Service Mesh), and mature CI/CD pipelines.

Technical Expertise

The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep expertise in:

  • Cloud & Containerisation

    • AWS, GCP, & Azure (servers, storage, networking, and security)
    • Kubernetes, Helm & Kops (cluster orchestration)
    • Service Mesh & Istio (service-to-service communication)
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Configuration Management

    • Terraform (Infrastructure provisioning)
    • Ansible (configuration management)
  • CI/CD & DevOps Practices

    • GitOps & GitHub Actions
    • Jenkins (build orchestration)
  • Observability & Monitoring

    • OpenTelemetry (OTel)
    • Dynatrace
    • Grafana (metrics, dashboards)
