Platform Environment Manager
Permanent | Hybrid | London
Bestman Solutions is supporting a leading organisation operating within a highly regulated, technology-driven environment.
As part of a significant enterprise transformation, they're looking for an experienced Platform Environment Manager to help modernise how environments are designed, provisioned, and managed across a complex technology estate.
Working closely with architects, platform engineers, and delivery teams, you’ll play a key role in supporting the transition from legacy infrastructure to a modern, cloud-native environment built around OpenShift and Kafka.
This is an opportunity to join a long-term transformation programme where you'll influence environment strategy while remaining close to the technology.
The Role
You'll be responsible for the design, provisioning, and ongoing management of development, test, and production environments, ensuring they're reliable, scalable, and aligned to delivery priorities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
