Platform Operations Specialist - Episode Six

About the Role

We’re growing our fintech team—our next Platform Operations Specialist is integral. You’ll maintain, monitor, and optimise the infrastructure powering payments for major banks and innovative fintechs.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for:

  • Software releases and infrastructure updates across:
    • Multiple PaaS instances of E6 Cloud platform
    • AWS EKS Kubernetes clusters (multiple)
    • Cloud infrastructure (e.g. RDS, load balancers, networking, storage)
    • Linux and Windows servers
  • Database maintenance for SQL and NoSQL environments
  • Client onboarding and migration support
  • Routine disaster recovery testing of backups and system backups
  • Daily infrastructure monitoring and maintenance
  • Documentation (internal systems, processes, troubleshooting guides)
  • Participating in a standard on-call rotation with the team
  • Other duties as required

Key Skills & Experience

You’ll stand out if you have:

  • 3+ years AWS Cloud management experience (or equivalent expertise in another cloud provider)
  • 3+ years Kubernetes cluster administration
  • 3+ years Linux OS management experience
  • 2+ years using Python for scripting (automation, troubleshooting, etc.)
  • Infrastructure troubleshooting skills (debugging and resolving complex issues efficiently)
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g. Terraform)
