Job Description
Role: Platform Specialist
We’re scaling up a modern, enterprise‑scale data platform that empowers our Retail business to make smarter, data-driven decisions every day. The Data Operations team enables this by designing, running—and continuously improving—the Retail & Analytics Data Hub (RADH), a strategic data platform at the heart of analytics and reporting.
We’re now seeking a Platform Specialist to take full technical ownership of RADH—and to actively shape its future influence in our data architecture evolution.
Ideal for: Candidates who thrive at the intersection of platform engineering, data architecture, and Snowflake innovation while shaping scalable, high-performance data platforms.

- Leading the ongoing development of the Retail & Analytics Data Hub (RADH) as a strategic enterprise data platform
- Driving Snowflake capabilities, optimising for improved performance, scalability, and reliability across the platform
- Serving as an Snowflake subject matter expert (SME) to shape best practices across the organisation
- Enhancing automation through CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and orchestration frameworks
- Embedding observability—including monitoring, alerting, lineage, and data quality—across the platform
- Supporting governance, security, and access controls in partnership with Information Security to ensure compliance
- Collaborating with engineers, analysts, and product teams to support platform adoption and delivery
- Balancing platform cost optimisation while maintaining SLA-relevant service levels for availability, performance, and data quality
Who We’re Looking For
Applicants should have:
- Strong hands-on experience in data platform or data engineering roles within cloud environments
- Deep expertise in Snowflake—including core features, best practices, and innovations
- Confidence in SQL and a modern data engineering tooling/patterns perspective
- Experience designing or managing enterprise-scale data platforms
- Knowledge of data governance, security, access management, and compliance
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A collaborative mindset with a passion for enabling others
- Curiosity and adaptability, alongside an interest in continuous improvement and emerging technologies
