Platform Specialist – Retail & Analytics Data Hub (RADH)

Legal & General (L&G)

Legal & General (L&G) is a leading UK financial services group and major global investor, safeguarding financial futures since 1836. As one of the world’s largest asset managers, we provide powerful asset origination capabilities and underpin retirement and protection solutions, including:

  • Pension risk transfer (global)
  • UK & US life insurance
  • UK workplace pensions & retirement income

Our Retail business supports 12.8+ million policyholders and workplace members by helping them save, plan, protect, and enjoy retirement—through direct engagement, intermediaries, or employers. We deliver highly personalised, technology-driven solutions to shape better long-term outcomes.

About the Role

We are building a modern, enterprise-scale data platform to empower our Retail business with smarter, data-driven decisions. Our Data Operations team owns the Retail & Analytics Data Hub (RADH), a strategic data platform at the core of analytics and reporting.

As a Platform Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Technical ownership & strategic evolution of RADH.
  • Leading the Snowflake innovation initiative to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Shaping best practices for data platform operations.
  • Optimising automation via CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and orchestration frameworks.
  • Ensuring full observability (monitoring, alerting, lineage, and data quality).
  • Implementing governance, security, and access controls with Information Security.
  • Collaborating with engineers, analysts, and product teams to drive adoption.
  • Cost optimisation without compromising SLA compliance (availability, performance, and data quality).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
