Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Platform Support Engineer to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about technology, troubleshooting, and providing technical support. You will assist in maintaining platform performance, resolving user issues, and supporting the smooth operation of applications and systems while gaining hands-on experience with modern support tools and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support for platform and application-related issues.
  • Assist in troubleshooting software, system, and user-reported problems.
  • Monitor platform performance and report incidents or service disruptions.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and system updates.
  • Assist with user account management, access requests, and basic system configurations.
  • Support software updates, deployments, and routine maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Help create and maintain technical documentation and user guides.
  • Follow established support processes, service level agreements (SLAs), and security best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic understanding of computer systems, operating systems, and networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and support processes.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Understanding of ticketing systems such as Jira, ServiceNow, or Zendesk.
  • Basic knowledge of APIs and web technologies.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Understanding of ITIL principles or IT service management concepts is an advantage.
