Activities Coordinator – Play and Activities (Care Department)

Location: Sutton Scotney Salary: £25,000 - £29,000 per year (Band 4 equivalent) Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (shift-based, including evenings and weekends) Application Deadline: 9 July 2026

About the Role

At Naomi and Jack's Hospice, we strive to create unforgettable experiences for children, young adults, and their families. Whether it’s through swimming, sensory play, quizzes, games, or music, we ensure every stay is full of joy and meaningful connections. Every day is unique—do you want to help make this happen?

Working with a diverse group of children and young adults, some with complex disabilities, communication barriers, mobility challenges, and life-limiting illnesses, this role requires creativity and sensitivity. Your ability to engage with individuals of all ages (from birth to 35) while offering tailored, enriching activities is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise, and facilitate engaging, fun, and age-appropriate activities for children, young adults, and their families—ranging from sensory play to group games and music sessions.
  • Support children, young adults, and their siblings in creating lasting positive memories during what can be emotionally challenging times.
  • Demonstrate an energetic, professional, and adaptable approach—able to lead activities independently and collaboratively, working with care colleagues across residential care, group settings, and community visits.
  • Travel to family homes to bring playful, joyful experiences within reach, using our wheelchair-accessible vehicles.
  • Foster an inclusive, encouraging environment that respects individual needs and celebrates differences.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
