About This Role

LADY KATHERINE LEVESON CE PRIMARY SCHOOL

Job Title: Lady K Kids Club – Afterschool Play Practitioner

Reporting to: Lady K Kids Club Manager and Headteacher

Salary: Band 2, Point 5 £7590.43 actual per annum – (£26428.00 FTE)

Working Hours: 15:30 – 18:00, Monday-Friday, 38 weeks Term-time only (excluding Inset days) 3 hrs per day, 12.5 hours per week – This is a fixed term position until 31/08/27.

Lady Katherine Leveson CE Primary School is looking for a warm and friendly Play Assistant to join our Afterschool Lady K Kids Club. We are looking for an approachable person with good interpersonal skills, who is engaging, dynamic, and self-motivated; who is committed to building excellent relationships with our children and who is eager to work alongside a friendly team to support the children in their care.

The Play Assistant will work as part of a team of staff in the After School Club (known as Lady K Kids Club) supporting the children in their play activities and their overall development. They will set up, deliver, and promote high quality, inclusive, and stimulating play activities that help the children, whatever their abilities, express themselves and develop as individuals. They will create opportunities, plan resources, and prepare the environment and spaces in which children can play in their own way.
