St Augustine's CE Academy
Role: Wraparound Care Playworker (Grade 3)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM (Term Time Only, including September INSET Days)
Contract: Permanent Salary: Grade 3 (Pro Rata equivalents) Location: St Augustine’s CE Academy, Draycott in the Clay
Start Date: 1st September 2026 Application Closing Date: Monday 6th July Interviews: Monday 13th July
We are seeking a motivated and responsible Wraparound Care Playworker to support our after-school provision. This role is perfect for someone who is organized, proactive, and passionate about working with children in a nurturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise children in a safe, caring, and stimulating environment
- Support the planning and delivery of enrichment and recreational activities
- Act as a key holder, including opening and securing the setting when required
- Assist with risk assessments for wrap-around activities
- Ensure the welfare and safety of all children at all times
- Support personal care needs, including changing nappies

Qualifications & Requirements
Essential:
- Paediatric First Aid qualification (or commitment to complete training)
- Level 1 Safeguarding certification (or willingness to undertake training)
Desirable:
- Previous experience working with children in a wrap-around care setting
Key Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and safegarding compliance

Note: This position operates on a term-time only basis with specified schedules.
