McArdle Sport-Tec Ltd is a leading specialist sport and play construction contractor, delivering high-quality sports facilities throughout the UK.
Role: Contract / Project Manager
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Contract / Project Manager to oversee the delivery of our PlayZone programme. The role will involve managing the design and construction of multiple Multi-Use Games Areas (MUGAs) across London and the South.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from initial design through to completion.
- Coordinate the design process and liaise with clients, consultants, and planning authorities.
- Manage subcontractors and oversee construction activities on site.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Carry out regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, programme, and health and safety compliance.
- Organise and chair pre-start meetings with clients and project teams.
- Prepare and review construction programmes, method statements, risk assessments, and other project documentation.
- Resolve technical and site-related issues efficiently to minimise delays.
- Ensure snagging items are addressed promptly and projects are delivered to a high standard.
- Maintain robust quality-control and health and safety procedures throughout the construction process.

The Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- A full UK driving licence.
- Project or contract management experience within the construction industry.
- Experience of working under CDM Regulations.
- An SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple live projects.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- A willingness to travel regularly to sites, primarily within London and the M25, with Wallingford as the base office.
- Experience within the sports, playground, or outdoor recreation industry.
- Knowledge of the planning process would be advantageous.
