Senior Company Secretary
Our listed client is seeking a Company Secretary to collaborate with the Board in driving the Group’s growth ambitions while upholding corporate governance and compliance standards befitting an AIM-listed company.
About the Role
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Company Secretary oversees governance operations, privacy and quality systems, risk management, and sustainability within a growing, international, and acquisitive Group.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing governance advice to the Executive Team and wider Board
- Supporting the CFO in a range of activities such as:
- Board support and advisory
- Governance operations
- Annual General Meetings (AGMs)
- Share options and schemes
- Property management
- Investor relations
- Mergers and acquisitions (M&A)

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Former experience in a company secretary role within a listed business
Desirable
- Experience in a high-growth, acquisitive environment
- Knowledge of managing share schemes
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to challenge senior leadership
- Verbal and written communication expertise refined through professional experience
- Experience liaising with stakeholders across all hierarchical levels
Responsibilities
- Strategic governance advice for executives and the Board
- Overseeing compliance, privacy, risk, and sustainability initiatives
- Managing governance operations, including AGM preparation and conducting
- Facilitating M&A-related governance activities under CFO guidance
- Maintaining investor relations touchpoints

Hybrid Working Arrangements
This position operates on a hybrid model, permitting largely remote work with an attachment to either our London or Leeds office. No fixed office days are required, aside from scheduling Board Meetings (mandatory attendance: 10 times per year). Occasional ad-hoc visits are expected as needed with Roaming Status enabled:
- Travel expenses covered for office visits unrelated to your contracted location
- Full autonomy in managing the diary and pivoting work locations as required
