Plumber – Deliver High-Quality Repairs and Excellent Customer Service
Are you an experienced Plumber with a strong customer focus and a passion for delivering quality repairs? As a Plumber at Peabody, you'll play a key role in providing responsive maintenance services to our residents, ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
We're looking for a skilled multi-trade professional who can support our "Right First Time" approach, delivering excellent workmanship while providing a positive experience for residents and stakeholders. You'll work across a variety of domestic maintenance tasks, managing your workload effectively and ensuring service level agreements are consistently met.
What You'll Do
- Carry out plumbing repairs and maintenance works within occupied and void properties
- Support a first-time-fix culture by diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently
- Complete a range of basic multi-trade repairs where required
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with residents
- Ensure all work is completed safely, compliantly and to a high-quality standard
- Update PDA devices with job progress, works completed and photographic evidence
- Maintain van stock levels to minimise downtime and maximise productivity
- Complete all required documentation accurately and on time
- Liaise effectively with managers, planners and colleagues to ensure smooth service delivery
- Promote Peabody's standards, values and professional image at all times

What You'll Need
- City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent Plumbing qualification (or significant relevant experience)
- Minimum of 3 years' experience carrying out plumbing repairs and maintenance works
- Experience working within a responsive repairs or maintenance environment
- Multi-trade skills and experience
- CSCS Site Operative Card
- Asbestos Awareness Training
- Full UK manual Driving Licence
- Experience managing van stock and materials effectively
- Ability to use PDA/mobile working technology confidently
- Basic understanding of Schedule of Rates
- Knowledge of the London area
Desirable
- SMSTS Health & Safety qualification
- First Aid qualification
- DBS clearance
- Part P qualification

This role involves working within occupied homes and delivering responsive repairs services to residents. You'll be expected to work safely, professionally and in line with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
Occasional evening and weekend working may be required to support service delivery.
Own trade-specific tools are essential for this role.
