Job Description

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary: £43,201 plus benefits and additional allowances.
  • Field-based with regular travel across Dorset.
  • Hours: 39 hours per week.
  • Permanent Role.
  • Closing date for receipt of applications: 22.07.26 (Midday)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Gas Safe registered Plumbing and Heating Engineer with experience to join the Magna team. From the initial job report to its completion, you will play a key part in delivering works to a high standard, whilst meeting our customers’ needs and complying with current legislation. The role encompasses a diverse and rewarding working routine with great benefits, a company van, uniform, and all trade relevant power tools supplied.

Purpose of the Role

  • Carry out central heating works including installation and servicing.
  • Diagnose faults and resolve heating/plumbing related problems to a high standard.

On-call Requirement: You will be required to be on call once every 14 weeks, for which you will receive a generous standby allowance - This is subject to change.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • High level of fault-finding ability & diagnostic skills.
  • Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
  • Committed to overcoming any scenarios that may arise on a daily basis.
  • Ideally experience of Social Housing or working in a similar environment would be advantageous, although alternative sectors will be considered.
  • Understanding how to use a mobile iPad device.
  • Geographical knowledge of the Dorset & South Somerset area would be preferential.
  • This post is subject to a basic level Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • A full driving licence is essential.
