Join Tencer Ltd as a Plumbing Apprentice and learn on the job alongside experienced engineers. We're looking for someone who wants to develop practical plumbing skills across a variety of commercial and domestic projects while working towards a recognised qualification.
Requirements
- You live in the Buckinghamshire area
- A willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces when required
- Willing to work in a range of environments, including plant rooms, occupied buildings and areas that can sometimes be dirty or physically demanding
- Punctual, reliable and committed to learning
- Willing to attend college and complete coursework alongside practical training
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- The role involves travelling to customer sites with our engineers
- An Enhanced DBS check will be required, as we work in schools and other sensitive environments
- A full UK driving licence will be required by the end of your apprenticeship

Responsibilities
- Assist experienced engineers with plumbing installations, repairs and maintenance
- Learn to install and maintain pipework, sanitaryware and plumbing systems
- Support planned maintenance and reactive repair works
- Use hand and power tools safely and correctly
- Help diagnose and resolve plumbing faults
- Carry out site housekeeping and maintain a safe working environment
- Travel to commercial and domestic sites with engineers
- Complete job sheets and records using company systems
- Learn to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Attend college and complete apprenticeship coursework alongside practical training
Benefits
- Wage: £16,640 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age
- National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices
- Training course: Plumbing and domestic heating technician (level 3)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm. 40 hours a week
- Start date: Monday 3 August 2026
- Duration: 4 years
- Successful completion of the apprenticeship may lead to a permanent role within our plumbing team.
