Plumbing & Gas Trainer/Assessor

The vacancy

Are you an experienced Plumbing and Gas professional looking to inspire the next generation of skilled tradespeople?

DN Colleges Group is seeking a Plumbing and Gas Trainer Assessor to join our Construction team. In this role, you will support apprentices and learners through their training programmes, helping them develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed for successful careers in the industry. You will work closely with employers, learners and colleagues to deliver high-quality training, assessment and verification activities while ensuring compliance with awarding body, funding and College requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity for an industry professional who is passionate about developing talent, maintaining high standards and supporting learner success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Plumbing and Gas training and assessment activities to apprentices and learners.
  • Support learners throughout their programme, providing guidance, assessment and progression support.
  • Engage with employers to develop positive relationships and promote the College’s training offer.
  • Carry out assessment, review and verification activities to support the timely achievement of qualifications.
  • Ensure learners are enrolled, supported and managed in line with College, employer and awarding organisation requirements.
  • Maintain accurate learner records, attendance information and reporting documentation.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, course evaluation and quality improvement activities.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support effective programme delivery.
  • Participate in team meetings, performance reviews and continuous professional development activities.
  • Promote and adhere to College policies relating to safeguarding, health and safety, equality and diversity.

Essential Criteria

  • Level 3 Mechanical Plumbing and Heating qualification.
  • A1 and V1 Awards.
  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent.
  • Relevant industrial experience within Plumbing and Heating.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
