Plumber/Gasfitter/Drainlayer Tutor

Are you an experienced plumber, gasfitter, or drainlayer looking for a new challenge? Join Skills Group as a Tutor and use your industry knowledge to help shape the next generation of trades professionals.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver engaging practical and theory-based training to apprentices and trainees
  • Support learners to achieve their qualifications and career goals
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and effective learning environment
  • Monitor learner progress and provide coaching and feedback
  • Build strong relationships with learners, employers and industry stakeholders
  • Ensure training is delivered safely and to industry standards

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified plumber, gasfitter, drainlayer, or a combination of these trades
  • Strong industry experience and practical knowledge
  • Hold Unit Standard 4098 & 11551, or be willing to obtain them with Skills Group's support as part of your professional development
  • Hold Adult Education Level 4 or 5, or be willing to work towards it with support provided through your professional development journey
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills
  • Passion for mentoring and supporting others to succeed
  • Commitment to health and safety and professional standards
