Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver engaging, personalised learning that supports pupils' academic, social, and emotional development while working closely with a highly skilled team of teaching assistants, therapists, and specialist professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals to provide holistic support
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes confidence, independence, and wellbeing
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on pupil progress
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through staff meetings, professional development, and curriculum planning

You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEND or within a specialist education setting (desirable)
  • Strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • The right to work in the UK
