Job Description

We are seeking an experienced PMO Analyst to join our multi-disciplinary Business Operations Team. This team serves as the information hub for projects, portfolios, and programmes within the Client Delivery / Professional Services business unit.

Currently expanding to support the full UK business, the role ensures operational excellence across all business units, driving project success through controls, reporting, and analysis. You will work closely with project managers and Business Operations colleagues to enhance processes and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Governance, Process & Tooling Provide expert guidance to the Delivery community for compliance with SBS’ project governance processes and standards. Identify opportunities to improve project control, quality, and delivery across the business. Collaborate with Business Operations to implement process enhancements that evolve service offerings.

  • Portfolio Reporting & Analysis Leverage analytical tools to interpret data, recognise trends, and deliver actionable insights. Develop compelling reports, dashboards, and visualisations to support portfolio governance and executive decision-making.

  • Commercial Support Apply financial expertise to assist project managers in monitoring project financial health, including forecasting, controlling, and reporting. Partner with finance teams and account management to track statements of work, change control notices, invoicing, and purchase orders. Ensure alignment with financial targets for Client Delivery and UK lending business.


Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum two years of financial PMO experience.

  • Positive enthusiasm, strong relationship-building, and ability to manage schedule changes with the flexibility to support part-time team members.

Analytical Skills

  • Exceptional numerical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to analyse complex data and deliver meaningful, actionable insights.

  • Strong organisation and time management; comfortable working independently or leading initiatives while contributing to group efforts.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities effectively and meeting tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in any medium.
  • Assertiveness to influence stakeholders, backed by confidence to maintain high standards.

Technical Skills

  • Daily working proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (prioritising Excel).
  • Experience with an integrated PPM tool is required.
  • Nice-to-have:
    • Visual Basic/Macro development for automation.
    • Power BI for data visualisation.

Additional Considerations (Not Mandatory but Beneficial)

  • Familiarity with the UK Financial Services sector.
  • Exposure to software implementation projects.
  • PM, PMO qualification from a recognised body.
