PMO Consultant
PMO Consultant – Secure Government Practice

At AtkinsRéalis, our PMO teams provide structure, control, and confidence to complex programmes. As a PMO Consultant within our Secure Government practice, you’ll apply your PMO expertise to national security and resilience initiatives in a high-stakes, collaborative environment.
This role welcomes PMO generalists, specialists, or professionals with transferable project coordination skills—whether you’ve managed controls, implemented planning frameworks, or delivered governance reports. Some positions may involve workstream leadership, but these are not senior PMO leadership roles.
About the Role
You’ll work across a range of consultant-level PMO roles, supporting delivery in structured, high-integrity environments where precision and fit-for-purpose solutions drive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Your scope will align with your experience, from:
- Supporting PMO activities (reporting, governance forums, risk tracking, issue resolution)
- Enhancing planning, scheduling, and financial oversight
- Assisting with controls and assurance processes
- Improving delivery maturity through structured frameworks
- Collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
- Contributing to change and transformation in secure government projects

What We’re Looking For

- PMO, project delivery, or project coordination expertise (structured environments preferred)
- Practical skills in planning support, governance administration, reporting, stakeholder management, or data control
- Ability to apply PMO frameworks (e.g., benefits capture, risk management, change monitoring) in complex programmes

- Specialisation in controls, assurance, finance, benefits, or governance
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, MS Project, or similar tools
- Experience in government, defence, or regulated high-security sectors (a plus)

- Understanding of PMO transformation and continuous improvement
