The PMO Coordinator provides vital operational and administrative support to the PMO team, enabling the effective delivery of initiatives across the Logistics, Supply, Express, and Productivity business areas. The role ensures consistent application of project governance, standards, processes, and reporting across the project and programme portfolio. This position plays a key role in enabling effective delivery through high-quality data, coordination, and stakeholder support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operation of the PMO, ensuring project governance frameworks, standards, and controls are followed
  • Assist in maintaining and improving PMO processes, templates, tools, and documentation
  • Coordinate project governance forums such as project boards, steering committees, and PMO meetings
  • Collect, validate, and consolidate project data (e.g. milestones, risks, issues, finances, benefits)
  • Support in producing regular project, programme, and portfolio reports and dashboards
  • Ensure project documentation is complete, up-to-date, and stored in line with standards
  • Support to track delivery against agreed plans and highlight exceptions, risks, and dependencies
  • Support project managers with planning and coordination
  • Maintain RAID logs, action trackers, and decision logs
  • Act as a central point of contact for PMO-related queries
  • Build effective working relationships with project managers, sponsors, and delivery teams

Essential Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organisational and coordination skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Good analytical skills and confidence working with data and reports
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

Desirable Skills & Competencies

  • Experience using project reporting tools
  • Understanding of project delivery methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2)
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders

Essential Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience working in a PMO, project support, or coordination role
  • Understanding of project governance, reporting, and controls

Desirable Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience supporting programmes or portfolios
  • Exposure to financial or resource tracking
  • PMO, PRINCE2, Agile, or similar certification (or working towards)
