PMO Lead
Senior Programme Management Office Coordinator
Base Location: Perth, Glasgow, or Reading (50% working weeks expected)
Salary: £71,869 - £85,880 + comprehensive benefits package (healthcare, wellbeing support, family entitlements, discounts, flexible loans, and cycle-to-work schemes)

The Role
You’ll play a critical role in coordinating and governing a large-scale cyber security programme. This position is at the heart of delivery, offering exposure to senior stakeholders and complex transformation initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:

PMO Leadership:
- Lead day-to-day PMO team management, ensuring high-quality programme reporting to governance forums and senior stakeholders.
- Develop executive-level management packs and governance materials.
- Oversee regulatory submissions, RAID tracking (Risks, Actions, Issues, Dependencies), and resource/financial management and reporting.

Delivery Oversight:
- Monitor end-to-end programme delivery (inception to closure) to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
- Address deviations from baseline and maintain robust action tracking and follow-up.

Governance Implementation:
- Facilitate governance forums, including financial approvals, benefit realisation reporting, and programme assurance.

Resource & Team Development:
- Manage PMO team workloads, capacity planning, and alignment with delivery priorities.
- Foster a high-performing team through mentorship, process governance, and tool standardisation.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Governance
- Drive PMO operations, stakeholder engagement, and compliance reporting.
- Drive decision-making processes, financial oversight, and benefit realisation tracking.

Financial & Performance Reporting
- Develop dashboards and KPIs for programme tracking (Excel/Power BI proficient).
- Ensure financial Akountability through analytical reporting and variance analysis.

Continuous Improvement
- Identify efficiency gains, refine governance standards, and align methodologies across projects.
Requirements

EXPERIENCE:
- Experience leading or contributing to a PMO/Pegramma environment within cyber security, IT, or multi-labelledby transformations.
- Demonstrated expertise in governance frameworks (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, MSP).

KEY SKILLS:
- Stakeholder Management: Bridging communication gaps between senior leadership, delivery teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Government and reporting proficiencies to drive evidence-based decisions.
- Advanced Excel and Power BI for advanced financial and delivery tracking.
- Analytical mindset with a structured problem-solving approach.

TOOLS/FRAMEWORKS (PREFERRED):
- Microsoft Project or equivalent (Jira/Clarity addlists).
- Experience in risk reporting, regulatory compliance, or audit processes.
