PMO Lead, Hybrid in Greater London, 6 month contract, £800-£1,200 a day, Real Estate

A fast-scaling, investment-backed organisation delivering a major, multi-phase capital development programme is looking for a PMO Leader to bring structure, governance and delivery discipline to a growing, cross-functional business.

This is a newly created role spanning Business Development, Operations and Technology, reporting into the senior leadership team, at an organisation in the early stages of a significant, multi-year expansion.

The role:

  • Design, implement and continuously improve governance frameworks, reporting and controls across a fast-growing, multi-workstream business
  • Provide clear, accurate delivery and financial reporting to senior stakeholders and the executive team
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery across commercial, operational and technical stakeholder groups
  • Build and mature a PMO function appropriate to the organisation's current stage of growth, with scope to build and lead a team as it scales
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the executive team on programme risk, dependencies and prioritisation

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

About you:

  • Proven experience designing, setting up and running PMO or programme governance functions — ideally including having built one from an early stage, not just operated within an existing structure
  • Background in a capital-intensive, multi-stakeholder, fast-scaling environment — real estate, infrastructure, regeneration, or a comparable scale-up business
  • Strong financial and controls fluency, comfortable linking delivery milestones and risk to budget and reporting
  • Comfortable operating at, or reporting into, C-suite/ExCo level
  • Familiarity with recognised PMO methodologies (e.g. MSP, P3O, PRINCE2) and modern reporting/portfolio tools
