PMO Lead
Location: London, Hybrid Working
Contract: Fixed Term - 12 months
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced PMO Lead to join a major enterprise transformation programme. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and proactive PMO professional who enjoys bringing structure, governance, and financial oversight to complex change initiatives.
Working closely with the Programme Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of a large-scale business transformation by driving programme governance, reporting, risk management, financial control, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve programme governance frameworks.
- Coordinate governance meetings, steering committees, and programme forums, producing high-quality meeting packs and documentation.
- Consolidate project updates into clear, accurate reports for senior stakeholders.
- Own and manage the programme RAID log, ensuring risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies are actively tracked and mitigated.
- Facilitate regular reviews with project and workstream leads, escalating critical issues where appropriate.
- Track programme budgets, forecasts, expenditure, and financial performance, highlighting any variances.
- Manage purchase orders, invoice processing, and financial reconciliations in collaboration with finance teams.
- Support programme planning, milestone tracking, resource management, and delivery reporting.
- Conduct regular PMO health checks to ensure governance standards, documentation, and project controls are consistently maintained.
- Support internal and external audit activities by ensuring project documentation is accurate and readily available.

About You
You'll be an experienced PMO professional with a strong understanding of project governance and programme delivery within complex transformation environments.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a PMO Lead, Senior PMO Analyst, or Project Coordinator role.
- Experience supporting large-scale business or technology transformation programmes.
- Strong knowledge of programme governance, reporting, RAID management, and project controls.
- Experience managing programme financials, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence analysing financial and project data.
- Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident working across multiple workstreams.
- Able to challenge constructively, influence stakeholders, and build strong working relationships.

Desirable
- Experience supporting ERP, HRIS, or other enterprise technology implementation programmes.
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
