About the Role
An outstanding opportunity has opened up to join the POLIT team within PPU (Police Online Investigation Team).
The POLIT team specialises in:
- The reactive and proactive investigation of offenders involved in the possession and distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) online.
The ideal candidate will:
- Assume all necessary POLIT investigation duties.
- Work as part of a team of investigators.
- Primarily operate from Staffordshire Police HQ, with occasional opportunities for remote working from other Force offices.
- Become part of a small but critical department dedicated to coordinating and investigating online CSAM cases across Staffordshire.

This is an highly demanding and fast-paced role, requiring:
- Skill in handling complex investigations with tight deadlines.
- Strong ability to prioritise referrals from the National Crime Agency (NCA).

Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
- Experience in managing complex investigations.
- PIP2 qualification preferred, or an aspiration to obtain accreditation.
