Policy Manager – Full Time, Permanent (EEMA & UK Policy Development Team)

The Job
Reporting to the Senior Policy Manager, EEMA & UK on a day-to-day basis, this role involves:
- Delivering policy content, including consultation responses and policy papers, that adds value to ACCA’s market recognition, brand and influence.
- Collaborating with the Senior Policy Manager to support the Regional Lead – EEMA & UK in achieving regional priorities while linking their work strategically to ACCA’s global themes.
- Creating EEMA & UK-focused thought leadership content, producing drafts, conducting research, and engaging with stakeholders.
- Acting as a liaison between the Global Policy & Insights team and the UK & EEMA Relationships teams (who execute ACCA strategy in regional countries).
- Contributing to EEMA & UK inputs for global thought leadership.
- Delivering presentations and speaking at events on both global and region-specific policy and thought leadership.
- Conducting or analysing surveys, roundtables, and structured interviews.
- Providing input into the design, development, maintenance, and dissemination of ACCA’s Global policy positions in targeted topic areas.
- Overseeing timelines, milestones, and budgets for reports and projects under their leadership.
- Gathering intelligence on thought leadership/research and policy to identify opportunities and risks for ACCA through an internal and external network of advocates and experts.

Key Responsibilities
- Production of high-quality regional policy content.
- Supporting strategic alignment between region-specific and global priorities.
- Engagement with internal & external stakeholders (members, governments, experts).
- Research, drafting, and dissemination of policy briefings.
- Project management for policy reports and deliverables.
The Person
ACCA is seeking a candidate with:
- A reasonable understanding of the accounting sector, whether through professional qualification (preferred) or relevant experience.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage with regional needs, members, government officials and wider stakeholders.
- Excelent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver complex reports clearly and confidently.
- Strong writing ability, with an emphasis on producing high-impact policy consultations, research reports and thought leadership.
- Exceptional project management and planning skills, ensuring timelines, budgets, and key deliverables are met.
- Strategic thinking to align work with ACCA’s global themes, identify trends, and execute horizon scanning.
- Fast-paced, multitasking abilities within a dynamic team environment.
- Specialised knowledge or willingness to deepen knowledge in areas such as skills/education, sustainability, reporting, audit, tax, risk/controls and AI.
- Strong teamwork and collaborative mindset.
