£120.00–£250.00 per day
About the Role
We are recruiting a Poling Operative to join our South Wales team. This role involves the installation and removal of poles and covering the West Wales region.
The position is entry-level, with all training provided. Initial training will be paid at a rate of £90–£105 per day until full competency is reached. Training starts on 20th July 2026.
Essential Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence
- Valid CPC and knowledge of Tachograph driving laws
- Strong work ethic and ability to stay calm under pressure
- Professional communication skills
- Organised, self-motivated, and achievement-driven
- Basic computer literacy

Key Responsibilities
- Replace damaged, decayed, or defective poles in the Openreach network
- Install new poles to support customer connections
- Ensure work meets client specifications and safety standards
- Maintain legal driving compliance and vehicle standards
- Adhere to Health & Safety legislation and company policies
Desirable Qualifications (Not Mandatory)

- Experience in the Openreach network
- Groundworks or civils experience
- IPAF 1B (Mobile Elevating Work Platform)
- NPORS N107 or equivalent
- Full NRSWA Streetworks operative-level qualification
- Experience with a 360 Excavator
- PASMA certification
