Overhead Poling Surveyor - Dunfermline

Field-Based | Full-Time | Experienced Level

Enable Safe & Efficient Fibre Network Builds Across the UK - Join Circet UK

Circet UK is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Overhead Poling Surveyor to support the delivery of nationwide fibre network deployment programmes. This role reports to the Project Manager / Survey Manager and will focus on ensuring overhead pole infrastructure is structurally suitable, compliant, and ready for new cable installations. You'll be at the forefront of fibre rollout projects, contributing to the successful delivery of next-generation connectivity while maintaining a safety-first culture across all operations.

What You'll Be Doing Conduct detailed field surveys of existing overhead pole routes for telecoms deployment Assess pole condition, structural integrity, height, spacing, and load capacity Identify required pole replacements, reinforcements, or new installation Capture accurate field data including GPS coordinates, span lengths, attachments, and clearance measurement Liaise with utility providers, landowners, local authorities, and internal design teams to support permitting and design processes

What You'll Need

Experience Proven experience in overhead telecoms or utility pole surveying Knowledge of fibre network deployment (FTTP / FTTH preferred) Experience using GIS platforms and mobile data capture systems

Skills & Attributes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and data accuracy Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Qualifications & Certifications NRSWA accreditation (desirable) SA002 (Overhead Safety) certification (desirable) Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
