Role Description

The Pool Chemical Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater London, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient chemical treatment of pool and spa systems. Daily tasks include:

The role involves:

  • Monitoring inventory of chemicals
  • Preparing and documenting laboratory-style test results
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal procedures

The specialist will:

  • Collaborate with maintenance and facilities teams
  • Communicate findings clearly
  • Recommend adjustments to chemical usage and processes to optimize performance and safety

Qualifications

  • Chemical Industry knowledge and practical understanding of pool and water treatment chemicals.
  • Strong Analytical Skills for interpreting test results, diagnosing issues, and making data-driven decisions.
  • Effective Communication skills to document findings, provide clear recommendations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Laboratory Skills, including accurate sampling, use of testing equipment, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Background in Chemical Engineering or related discipline, with the ability to apply engineering principles to chemical dosing and system optimization.
  • Relevant education such as a degree or vocational qualification in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, adherence to health and safety standards, and familiarity with UK regulations related to pool operation and chemical handling.
  • Ability to work on-site in Greater London, manage time effectively, and perform physical tasks associated with pool inspection and maintenance.
