Port Development Project Manager

Location: Birkenhead/Holyhead

Salary: £65,000 - £73,000 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Introduction

At Stena Line, we're investing £500 million in our ports and infrastructure across the UK and Ireland, creating one of the most ambitious development programmes in our history.

We're looking for a Port Development Project Manager to help deliver a diverse portfolio of marine construction, port development and capital investment projects that will support our customers, communities and operations for decades to come.

This is a unique opportunity to lead major infrastructure projects from concept through to completion, working with industry experts, contractors, consultants and senior stakeholders across the business. Whether you're managing large-scale construction works, driving innovation or solving complex project challenges, your work will leave a lasting impact on our port network.

If you're energized by delivering meaningful projects, enjoy collaborating with diverse teams and want to be part of a business investing heavily in its future, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing infrastructure and capital investment projects from initial concept through to final delivery.
  • Leading project planning, procurement, budgeting and programme management activities.
  • Building strong relationships with consultants, contractors and suppliers.
  • Collaborating with operational teams, technical specialists and senior stakeholders.
  • Managing project risks, opportunities and performance to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Providing clear governance, reporting and project updates.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance and quality.
  • Identifying new ways of working and contributing to continuous improvement across project delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
