Portal Support Specialist

Portal Support Specialist – CPM Holdings, Inc.

About the Role

CPM Holdings, Inc. is a leading process and equipment solutions provider to the oilseed, animal feed, biomass, food, and materials processing industries, as well as corn wet milling, pet food, packaging, ethanol, and wood (Pelleting, particle size reduction and automation).

A global company with 1,280+ employees, CPM operates across multiple regions—Americas, Europe, and Asia.

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Portal Support Specialist to support and grow our e-commerce platform, collaborating closely with the Product Owner (Netherlands-based) while serving as first-line support for internal stakeholders and, occasionally, for customers. Based on a hybrid model, this role will connect with internal teams (IT, development), external developers, and our team in our UK office.


Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in Development & Workflow Improvements
    • Proactively contribute ideas and collaborate during discovery and development sessions for new feature requests from the business.

  • Identify Bottlenecks & Enhance Platform Performance

    • Spot UX, workflow, or technical issues and recommend fixes.
    • Analyze customer behavior and platform usage data.
  • Testing & Validation

    • Create wireframes, analyze data, and define requirements.
    • Conduct user acceptance testing for new functionalities.
  • Bug & Issue Resolution

    • Report and troubleshoot platform issues.
    • Coordinate with the Product Owner and relevant teams to resolve issues swiftly.
  • Support & Documentation

    • Provide first-line support for e-commerce related requests from business stakeholders and customers.
    • Independently diagnose and resolve technical issues, documenting findings and clearly communicating back to stakeholders.
    • Maintain process descriptions and training materials for sales/team onboarding.

Job Requirements

Experience & Skills

  • Preferred experience: At least 2 years of work in (business) support roles, ideally in e-commerce or IT support.
  • Proven track record: Working independently, identifying process optimizations, and driving solutions.
  • Technical familiarity: Testing or handling portal/software functionalities (a plus).
  • Analytical focus: Strong attention to detail when diagnosing issues.
  • Willingness to grow: Adept at taking on complex tasks while acquiring new skills.

Technical & Educational Background

  • Familiarity with wireframing tools (e.g., Figma).
  • Experience with SQL and ERP systems, with preference given to SAP Business One.
  • Degree preference: Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Information Systems, UX Design, or related field (equivalent experience also accepted).
