Role Overview
DSFS Ltd are looking to recruit the right candidate into the role of an A+E / EMU Porter on a 37.5 hour per week contract, to work within the portering department predominantly based in A+E/EMU main hospital based at the Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting a wide variety of portering tasks
- Working a shift pattern covering 16 hours a day / 7 days a week including weekends
- The escorting of patients and visitors
- The transportation of patients by appropriate means to other areas of the hospital
- Duties in connection with the transference of deceased persons, i.e. transfers to the mortuary
- Cleaning of domestic waste equipment and storage areas
- Collection of bagged soiled linen
- The collection and / or distribution of miscellaneous items, i.e. stores, medical gases, laundry, medical notes
- The collection and delivery of blood products from Pathology
