Department: Global Asset Management (GAM)

Hiring Manager: Tom Feyen

Location: Ostend, Leuven (Belgium) or London (United Kingdom)

Join us as we work to unlock the value of offshore wind! JERA Nex bp is a new joint venture between JERA, Japan’s largest power generation company, and bp, one of the world’s leading energy companies. Established to unlock the potential of offshore wind across the globe, our talented team, exciting pipeline and solid capital commitment give us the potential to become one of the world’s most successful offshore wind companies.

We entered the market with a portfolio of operational and development assets, alongside the resources, capabilities and resilience to deliver offshore wind energy at scale.

Why this role matters

The Portfolio Asset Manager acts as the owner’s representative for a portfolio of offshore wind assets in operation. In this role, you are accountable for safeguarding long-term value through disciplined oversight of asset, financial, planning, contractual and commercial performance. You make sure each asset is managed in line with shareholder expectations, governance frameworks, and risk appetite.

You also play an important challenge function to project companies, operators, and service providers, and ensures transparent, decision-ready information is available to senior management and governance bodies.

In this role you will:

Monitor operational, technical, and financial performance of your assets, tracking key KPIs and spotting underperformance, risks, or trends affecting value. Review and challenge OPEX budgets, forecasts, assumptions, and multi‑year cost outlooks to support cost discipline and long‑term value. Oversee key contracts, check compliance, challenge performance and incentives, and support renewal or escalation discussions. Prepare inputs for leadership, and shareholder forums, ensuring reporting is timely, accurate, and consistent, and follow up on decisions and actions. Track key risks, mitigation actions, audits, incidents, and control gaps, ensuring alignment with HSSE and broader risk frameworks. Work closely with internal teams (Finance, Legal, HSSE, O&M, Technical, Risk, IT/data) and external stakeholders (project companies, partners, operators, Operations Engineering Managements, service providers, and when needed lenders/insurers). Challenge performance, assumptions, forecasts, and proposals, escalate material risks or issues, and provide decision‑ready insights while operators remain responsible for day‑to‑day operations. Deliver asset performance reports, dashboards, budget and forecast inputs, governance materials, and risk/issue tracking that support effective decision‑making.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
